A Passion for Photography, A Lifetime of Experience
My journey with photography began at a young age, leading me to study the craft in Hampshire and later pursue vocational photography in the West Midlands. I shot my first wedding in 1983, and from there, my career took me across the globe—from freelancing in Sydney for major brands like NBC, Ford, and Greenpeace to working with the Associated Press. After returning to the UK, I gained experience with companies such as Whitbread and Viacom before deciding to follow my true passion: wedding photography.
As for the name “Phiish,” it comes from an old Aussie nickname that stuck! (But feel to call me Pete).

What is your photography style?
I adopt a relaxed, photojournalistic style—capturing real moments, emotions, and details as they unfold. My goal is to tell the story of your wedding day naturally, allowing you to relive it for years to come.
Do you travel for weddings?
Yes! I’m based in Northamptonshire, but I’m happy to travel wherever needed. I’ve photographed weddings across the UK and as far away as Mauritius. Just let me know where your wedding will be, and we’ll make it happen.
How long have you been photographing weddings?
I shot my first wedding in 1983, and since founding Photography by Phiish in 2008, I’ve captured countless weddings across the UK and beyond. My experience includes everything from intimate ceremonies to grand celebrations.
How do we receive our wedding photos?
After your wedding, you’ll receive professionally edited, high-resolution images oon a USB stick for you to do with as you please. If you’d like help or for me to do prints or an album, I can arrange those as well!
How long will it take to get our photos?
I know how exciting it is to see your wedding photos, so I aim to deliver them within a few weeks. If you’d like a few sneak peeks sooner, just let me know!
Do you offer engagement shoots?
Yes! Engagement sessions are a wonderful way to get to know you and your style as a couple before your big day. It’s also a chance to capture some beautiful, relaxed portraits of the two of you.
How do we book you?
